Deepa Suresh, MD 

Dr. Suresh is a pediatric endocrinologist who strives for excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of all pediatric hormonal disorders by combining the most recent advances and techniques with a compassionate approach. She specializes in disorders of the endocrine system. She goes to great lengths to care for each and every patient and spend time listening to and addressing all questions and concerns.

Professional Biography

Dr. Suresh was born in Bangalore, India which is a place well-known for it's beauty and high-tech industry. After graduating at the top of her class from the prestigious Bangalore Medical College, she moved to New York City to pursue pediatrics at the State University of New York affiliated with Down State Medical College in Brooklyn. She then started her pediatric endocrinology fellowship training at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. She completed the pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Texas Children's Hospital with Baylor College of Medicine. She remained as faculty at Texas Children's Hospital for 5 years. While there she published several peer-reviewed articles and a book chapter, and won several grants and awards.

Dr. Suresh is double-board certified pediatric endocrinologist. Her clinical interests include diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, growth disorders such as short stature, disorders of puberty, obesity, and PCOS. She is an active member of the Pediatric Endocrine Society, the Endocrine Society, and the American Academy. She is on the planning committee of the Endocrine Society. She is fluent in Spanish, Hindi, Urdu and Kannada. She enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and staying fit. She is known by her patients for her warm pleasant nature and approach-ability, and she believes in empowering patients and parents with education so that they can be the best advocates for their own health.
